Fall From Grace

In my days I’ve seen a lot my friend

I’ve seen struggle I’ve seen glory I’ve seen sin

I’ve seen love I’ve seen great I’ve seen viciousness and hate

Now I see what is true my soul I pledge to you

I have walked many miles in these shoes

I have walked with the guilty and accused

I have walked I have run I have ducked I have swung

Now I rest by your side with you my trust resides

I pledge my soul to thee for the sick for the hungry for all in need

For the rich for the poor for the lost and obscure

I ask forgiveness in thy name we bow our heads in shame

For we are the ones to blame

There were times I believed in man

I had thought that united we would stand

Sadly, I see it is not to be

I’m humbled I’ve fallen to my knee

My soul I pledge to thee

You can take my money and my land

You may force my word and my hand

You can take what is man’s rip it from our hands

Possess whatever you please take it all from me
